Michael Balan is the President of US Capital
Advisors, where he is responsible for mortgage loan originations,
loan structuring, due diligence assistance, lender negotiations and
post closing advisory services. Michael Balan established the firm
in 2001 as a commercial mortgage banking firm dedicated to
providing superior solutions to their clients lending needs.
Michael held commercial real estate lending positions with
NationsBank/Bank of America, Amresco and Mellon Bank. Prior to
those positions, Michael worked in International Banking with Banco
Latino International and asset based lending with Republic National
Bank of NY. Michael started his mortgage banking career as a credit
analyst in 1993.
Mr. Balan graduated from The University of
Maryland in 1987 with a Bachelor of Sience degree in Management
with a concentration in Finance. Michael earned his Mortgage
Bankers license in 2001.
Michael has been involved in community,
professional and civic organizations since his arrival from NY in
1992. He has been involved in Leadership Miami, where he led his
group to win the Outstanding Community Service Project. He has also
been active with The Greater Miami and the Miami Beach Chamber of
Commerce, Habitat for Humanity and other civic, charitable and
professional organizations. Michael was a founder of one of the
largest and most productive Business Networking International
chapters in the US. Michael has served on the Board of Directors of
the Mount Sinai Medical Foundation where he has chaired the Pledge
Review Committee of the Young Founders. His professional
affiliations have included the Mortgage Bankers Association and the
International Council of Shopping Centers.
